[edit] Summary

Architects elevation of proposed Baha'i temple, Tehran, Iran

common image used all over various Baha'i web sites and books, no copyright seen or claimed that I know of.

Most likely a unique image of a proposed building. Used in order to get a complete depiction of Baha'i places of worship. Also important as an example of the architecture used by the Baha'i.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Bahá'í House of Worship

  1. The image is of Charles Mason Remey's drawing produced more than forty years ago of the design for the Baha'i House of Worship in Tehran Iran. Under the current Islamic republic government no opportunity for construction exists in the forseeable future, therefore this image is the only image available anywhere period. Further a text-only description that the design was done is not the same thing as the design itself. Image scanned from design published in "The Baha'i World" - copyright held by the Baha'i International Community.
  2. The design is held by the Baha'i International Community with few restrictions on its use, is in wide distribution as an image on Baha'i web sites and has no revenue potential to the Baha'i International Community or anyone else.
  3. This is a very small version of a photo of an architect's drawing, and is used only one time.
  4. Source is in common use on Baha'i websites all over the world.
  5. Only extent image of the design for the Baha'i House of Worship in Tehran Iran, the home nation of the Baha'i Faith.
