[edit] Achievements
The club's first international achievement was in 1982 when Riffa placed second in the GCC Club Cup under the leadership of Sh. Ebrahim bin Khalid Al Khalifa and his chairman Sh. Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. This was an important achievement for the club and Bahraini football in general as it helped the region take notice of the talent available in Bahrain.
The team continued its victories throughout the eighties with Sh.Ebrahim bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and then with Sh.Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa throughout the nineties.
The team is currently led by Chairman and former Vice President Sh.Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa; a young and well-known football enthusiast who has developed a reputation for his continuous support for the club and passion towards developing football in Bahrain.
