Bahrain Bayan School utilizes the full programme developed by the International Baccalaureate Organization known as the IB Diploma Programme, offering both Certificate and Full IB Courses. The school offers a full range of subjects in accordance to the IB Programme, offering mandatory courses in IB Level English and Arabic, and other courses in humanities such as ITGS, history, psychology, Sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science, various levels of mathematics, in addition to a selection arts, both theatre and visual arts, effectively encompassing all subject areas set by the IB Curriculum.

Bahrain Bayan School hosts and participates in numerous activities, including Model United Nations in Bahrain and abroad, many athletic activities including volleyball, basketball and football,
in which the school competes against rival schools such as IKNS and Bahrain School in various leagues. Additionally, the school participates in the TradeQuest[1] programme, and has an active Student Council. The school's journalism department, which is separated into English journalism and Arabic journalism, also publishes annual magazines in both languages.
Furthermore, the school has various special 'days', such as Fun Day, Sports Day, and National Day, although this day is usually celebrated before the actual holiday on December 16 due to time constraints.
Additionally, the school hosts various plays throughout the year, in both English and Arabic, usually supervised by a theatre arts teacher. The latest of such was titled The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet and had an all-student cast.

Bahrain Bayan School has an extensive library, featuring both Arabic and English books of many genres. The library is fully digitized and checkout is handled with laminated library cards. The school also has various Computer Labs where students can print documents and access the internet, in addition to participating in courses such as Computer Science and Computer Multimedia. Furthermore, the school owns several science labs with a variety of tools available for use in the science curriculum.
