Bahalda is a small town in northern Orissa in Mayurbhanj district in India. Bahalda was the capital of Mayurbhanj in the 14th century. Maa Kichakeswari Temple, one of the most famous in northern Orissa, is situated in the middle of the town. Maa Kichakeswari is a local deity.
It is situated 55 Km away from Jamshedpur and 100 KM away from Baripada, the district headquarter.
Majority of population in the area are tribals, predominantly Santals.
