Bagby Hot Springs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bagby Hot Springs are natural hot springs located about 67 miles southeast of Portland, Oregon, United States. The springs are within the Cascades in a heavily forested area at elevation 2280 ft (695 m).[1]

Bagby was supposedly a favorite site for Native Americans for hundreds of years.[2] Since the 1880s, the springs have been visited by white settlers and tourists, sometimes to excess—especially recently, owing to their proximity to Portland.[3]

The 2006 film Old Joy is partly set at the springs.
