Bagatipara is located at 24.3306° N 88.9444° E . It has 19752 units of house hold and total area 139.37 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Bagatipara has a population of 107944. Males constitute 51.49% of the population, and females 48.51%. The Upazila's adult population is 54158. Bagatipara has an average literacy rate of 31.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
