Bafia is a town in the Mbam division of Centre Province, Cameroon, about 85 miles north of the country's capital Yaoundé. It is the see of the eponymous diocese.
Bafia has about 69,270 inhabitants, making it the third largest city in the province behind Yaoundé and Mbalmayo. Most citizens belong to either the Bafia people or the Yambassa people
