[edit] False positive?
The following entry
- Alaska -> Ted_Stevens_Anchorage_International_Airport_#Airlines_and_destinations
works in the context of the article correctly, is this a false positive? It does not appear to have been cleaned up since the list was generated, unless I am missing something. SailorfromNH 02:05, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- It seems to me that MediaWiki handles inserted space well at every place except for directly after a '#'. For instance this works but this does not. But it's probably still a good idea to remove the redundant space. Bergsten 14:24, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] <math> and Bad links
- Lie_algebra -> X_,__y_],__z_]</math>_need_not_equal_<math>[x,_[y,_z
I think this is a false positive, but I am not sure! Any suggestions? Thanks! --Lox (t,c) 14:41, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
- The math tag uses TeX which allows the whitespace, so I think you are right. Bergsten 14:57, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Ooo, that's interesting. I've modified my code to handle math tags properly (I hope) on the next run. -- Beland 06:04, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Strikethrough instead of Delete
May I ask why we are striking through the fixed links instead of deleting them? It seems that it would be much easier to find links that still need fixing if we just take completed ones off the list. SoberEmu 23:31, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I have asked myself the same question, what has been done would still be visible from the history. Any objections to deleting them? Bergsten 01:06, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- I added "(Done)" to the letter headings of entire letters that were done. That should make it a bit easier, however I do not know if this is an acceptable way of organizing. Feel free to revert it if it isn't. SoberEmu 01:30, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- I am all up for deleting the links. Some of them are really long and make the dimensions of the page horrible. --Omnieiunium 20:44, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'm a big fan of deleting instead of striking through, too. Some people like the strikethrough I think so they can have a sense of accomplishment when they look at the page, but I just get a sense of untidiness. If I want a sense of accomplishment, I diff the new post and the current version and look at all the red text. 8) -- Beland 04:51, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- Although this debate seems over, I'll add my comment anyway. Occassionally my browser will crash when there are lots of entries (like after a database dump). By removing entries, it won't be as big of an issue for some. --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 22:06, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
