Rationale for fair use

This 30 second clip of Bad Company's The Nine is used for the purposes of criticism and comment on the article on drum & bass. It is intended, in the context of scholarship, to inform the reader of the sound of drum & bass music and Bad Company while not displacing the original product. It is of interest as it the seminal example of a techstep track with ominous beats and aggressive artificial bass. According to section 107 of the United States Copyright Act of 1976:
