Bading is the 22nd barangay in the city of Butuan. Its history is part of Butuan city. Only a thousand people live in Bading. Some of them have lived in the barangay for a long time and some are new residents. Every year, Bading participate in any city activities and they even have their own activities to make the place beautiful as well.

The election of the barangay captain is held in every 3 years. It does not only vote the captain but also the staff like the Councilors, Secretary and the SK chairman.

[edit] Laurita Chiong

Laurita Chiong was the barangay captain from 1992-2004. She has been re-elected because for her great leadership. In her plan, she wanted that the barangay would be a nice place to live. Everybody participate in cleaning the barangay. In 2004, she retired from being the barangay captain because she was ill and has a high-blood.
