Bad Hofgastein is a town in the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the state of Salzburg in Austria. It's in the valley "Gasteiner Tal" and near the famous village Bad Gastein. In the summer it's a good hiking and walking area, in the winter you can go skiing there. It's a village of the skiing area "Gasteiner Tal" which is one of the famous skiing areas Ski Amade, too. The famous thermal bath is the most well-known one of this touristical village.
