Bad Camberg is a town in the Limburg-Weilburg district, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated 18 km southeast of Limburg an der Lahn, and 44 km northwest of Frankfurt. Bad Camberg is the second largest city in the district of Limburg and lies in the western Hintertaunus.

Bad Camberg lies at approx. 200 m altitude, on the north of the main comb of the Taunus, between Wiesbaden and Limburg. The closer largest cities are Frankfurt (44 km southeast, 60 km over motorway), Wiesbaden (30 km south) and Limburg (18 km northwest).

The recognized Kneippkurort is the oldest in Hesse and the third-oldest in Germany. The landmark of the city is the cross chapel.

On 6 February 1000 the emperor Otto III gave the monastery of Burtscheid to the Cagenberg family. From the name Cagenberg developed Cainburg, Camburg, changing to mountain (berg) and Camberg. In the year 1281 Rudolf I gave it municipal rights, which were confirmed in 1300, 1336 and 1365.
