I suggest to move the page to Bacteriostatic agent. Does anybody disagree? Nina 20:30, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Is this page about Bacteriostatic antibiotics rather than Bacteriostatic or Bacteriostatic agents?

For example, bacteriostatic water contains no antibiotics but rather it contains Benzyl Alchhol. So "bacteriostatic" does not mean "Bacteriostatic antibiotic", does it? Iambk 22:48, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Erm.......bactricidal is spelt incorrectly on the link - just thought I'd mention this rather glaring error in this scholarly article! ;)

[edit] Silver

Silver and/or silver compounds are used as bacteriostatic agents, correct? Badagnani (talk) 23:38, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
