Talk:Back mount
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
-The closing paragraph here states that techniques illegal in competition have proven effective when mounted from the back, and lists biting as an example. Unless some sort of evidence or citation can be provided, "proven" is a strong term. Personally, I have no idea how a person who is mounted from the back could possibly improve their situation by biting, since they will be unable to even reach a portion of the attacker's body with their mouth. And if they were to bite their opponent, the likely reaction would be to strike them in the back of the skull to ensure release, or simply to sink in a rear naked choke.
-To whoever keeps adding back in the "illegal techniques are proven effective", just give it up. Get someone to back mount you and see if you can even find a target to bite, let alone a target that will stop the person from beating you inot a bloody pulp/choking you to death
- How about we not mention the effectiveness or lackthereof at all then, unless someone comes up with a source? Baiter 02:52, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
