[edit] Overhaul
I completely re-did this page, basing most of it on an article I wrote for non-Wikipedia purposes. I made it as non-biased as I could using a backspace key. My original version was two completely pages in MS-Word; this is 3/4ths of a page in MS-Word. I removed as much trivial information as possible. I think this is much better than the whopping four or five sentences that was here before I overhauled it.
- Thanks a lot for finding references and improving the article. The original article contained reference to a certain "Rod of Rule", the staff of Agamemnon. We deleted that reference because we could not find anything to back it up. Do you have any information on that? Do you have a Wikipedia ID? UnHoly 12:22, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

- Author: I saw the earlier version with the "Rod Of Rule" reference, and I don't think it has any significant relation. I did look up information on that and Moses's staff while writing the article though, and I didn't find anything that would lead one to think they were the same object. In fact, the "Rod Of Rule" was an object in the Odyssey by Homer, so I'm not sure if it's anything more than myth. I never found anything about the Staff Of Jesus that would explain it as having divine powers like the Rod Of Rule was supposed to have: it had a direct link to the powers of the heavens. I don't know who posted the original version, but I'm going to take a while guess and say the "speculation" was from him/her.Trent Glass
