Bacolod is a 5th class municipality in the province of Lanao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 19,872 individuals.

Bacolod was once a mere barrio of the municipality of Kolambugan, the oldest town of the province of Lanao del Norte. The term “Bacolod” derived from a Maranao word “Bobolotoa” meaning a small rocky island. This island is located at a point of then an existing barangay called Binuni.

The municipality of Bacolod endowed of many beautiful beaches, it is already known in the municipal, regional and provincial level. Some foreign and domestic visitors stay in these beache resorts with minimal room rates of cottages and with seminar halls, they cater weddings, birthday celebrations and others.

Macboy Beach Resort is a little bit class of touch and the fee really warrants the quality of services offered, while Princess Beach Resort is locally made of local materials but of good, sincere and quality services of course with minimal fee for room rates of their cottages and seminar halls, they also cater weddings, birthdays and baptismals, they cook and serve good taste of foods, they also serve sea foods, since it is along Iligan Bay.

From Iligan City to Macboy Beach Resorts and Princess Beach Resorts, more or less 27 kilometers. It is located both in Rupagan, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte. When you reach barangay Rupagan you can see the Billboards bearing their names. You can reach that place by land transportation like; Rural Transit, Super 5, Vans and Taxi’s.
