Backdown is the sequel to the 2004 film You Got Served. It began filming in July 2007.[1] Shane Sparks, a judge on So You Think You Can Dance mentioned the film in the third season finale on August 16, 2007.[2]. The film has no scheduled release date yet.

Bryan Gaynor, a dancer with scoliosis who was featured on So You Think You Can Dance, is expected to make a cameo appearance.

After his performance at the 2007 BET 106 & Party new year hour, Omarion mentions that the film will be released in March 2008. But this date has passed and it was not released.
