Mesto Bačinci nalazi se na južnim padinama Fruške gore, na nadmorskoj visini od oko 100 metara, na severozapadnom delu Republike Srbije. Bačinci se prostiru na četiri kvadratna kilometra sa osam ulica i oko osam kilometara ukupne dužine.Prema poslednjem popisu Bačinci broje 1.435 stanovnika, od kojih je 256 našlo utočište kao izbeglice iz bivših Jugoslovenskih republika posebno Hrvatske. Stanovništvo se delom bavi poljoprivredom a delom je zaposleno u raznim organizacijama(privrednim i neprivrednim). Atar sela Bačinaca zauzima ukupno 2.124 hektara. Selo je postalo poznato po lekovitom izvoru pijaće vode pod nazivom "SREMSKI MELEM". Današnje selo je locirano na ovom mestu još od 18 veka, dotle je bilo nešto severnije gde se i danas mogu pronaći ostaci naselja.
