Baía da Santana

Baía da Santana (Portuguese meaning Saint Anne, also in the Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK) is a bay located northwest of the island of Maio in Cape Verde. The bay runs from a point west of Calheta north to Porto Cais, the island's northernmost point.

Its length runs approximately 15 km from north to south and is about 600 to 800 m wide. Almost the entire coastline are surrounded by the flat desert terrain that contain traces of bushes. Its minimum depth is around 25 to 30 m.
