[edit] Summary
Description |
Distribution of the Banksia spinulosa -- based on information from the Banksia Atlas and Australian National Botanic Gardens web site, these have significant differences to each. This map is a conglomerate of those two favouring The Banksia Atlas as its maps are created from actual observations.
Banksia Atlas includes observations in Carnarvon gorge (QLD) and other NP in the region that arent on the ANBG maps additional BA also has records of the plant growing further in land through central NSW region. BA also has no distribution between Lakes Entrance(VIC) and the Mornington Penninsula where as the ANBG shows distribution along the coast. ABNG has no dist in the Dandenong Ranges where as the BA shows extensive recording of the species. Where I varied to follow ANBG dist is the NSW/QLD border region where the AB has only spasmodic ares and ANBG has complete dist.
