The B Package is a television news music package composed by musician Frank Gari. It was composed in 1996 and features up to 100 cuts of opens, closes, stingers, bumpers and promo beds in a hard-hitting action news format. It has been used by at least 45 television stations nationwide.
In the late 1990s, Hearst-Argyle Television bought the B Package as well as Gari's Image News for its television stations. Hearst-Argyle stations used The B Package and Image News for its stations from 1997/98 to 2004/05, before using the Hearst-Argyle News Package composed by Newsmusic Central. WMUR is the only Hearst-Argyle station that still uses the B Package and hasn't switched to the Hearst-Argyle News Package although there is a signature for WMUR's slogan that has been developed.
