B & C Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

B & C Records was a British record label that existed in 1970 and 1971, but was bought up by Mooncrest Records in 1971. The "B & C" emblem continued to be used sporadically until about 1979.

The label was owned by Lee Gopthal, and was originally intended to reissue gospel/soul artrists such as James Carr. Among B & C's original releases was Atomic Rooster's "Atomic Rooster" (1970), Steeleye Span's "Please to See The King" (1971), Nazareth's "Loud 'N' Proud" (1974), "Home Grown" (1971) and "Everyone" (1971) both by Andy Roberts and one LP by the Newcastle band Ginhouse.
