B. Clay Moore is a professional American comic book writer.

He is best known for the series Hawaiian Dick.

Moore first achieved notoriety as the writer and co-creator of Hawaiian Dick, first published in 2002 by Image Comics. Since then, he has co-created Battle Hymn, with Jeremy Haun, and The Expatriate, with Jason Latour for Image Comics, and The Leading Man, also with Jeremy Haun, for Oni Press. Moore has also written for Harris Publications, Devil's Due, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Slave Labor Graphics, and Pennyfarthing Press. He currently lives in suburban Kansas City with his wife and children.

From 2004 to 2005, Moore served as the Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator for Image Comics, before leaving the position to focus on a full-time freelance writing career.

In 2004, Hawaiian Dick was optioned by New Line Cinema for development as a feature film.[citation needed] That option was renewed in 2006.[citation needed] Also in 2006, The Leading Man was optioned by Universal Pictures.[citation needed]

Upcoming announced works for Moore include a new Hawaiian Dick series, to debut in November of 2007, with art by Scott Chantler, and covers by Hawaiian Dick co-creator Steven Griffin, a three-issue JSA Classified story arc, featuring art by Ramon Perez, and '76, with art by Ed Tadem, and also featuring the work of writer Seth Peck and artist Tigh Walker. A recent article appearing on the Newsarama news site[citation needed] mentioned a story Moore wrote for the upcoming Marvel Comics Presents, featuring the Marvel character Stingray, with art by Lee Weeks. Moore has also mentioned more upcoming work from DC Comics, Image Comics and Oni Press.

In 2007, Moore announced the formation of a "virtual studio" called Atomic Revolver with fellow Midwest comic book creators Jason Aaron, Tony Moore, Seth Peck, Jeremy Haun and Don Kosin.
