Błonia Park is a 48 ha meadow in the middle of the city of Kraków, Poland. Originally, nuns owned it, but in 1366 they exchanged in with the city's authorities for a house at Florianska Street. Peasants of Zwierzyniec and Nowa Wies districts could graze their cattle there.
Blonia is a recreation area where you can walk, bike ride or take the sun bath. There are lot of events organize there like music concerts and exhibitions. However, the place is mostly known for great masses served by the Holy Father John Paul II in 1979, 1983, 1997 and 2002. The Holy Father Benedict XVI also served the mass there during his journey to Poland in May 2006. To worship John Paul II there is a boulder with a plaque.
