Bòòríí
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bòòríí is a spirit possession cult practiced among the Hausa people in the Maradi area of Niger.
Followers go into a trance while music is performed. It can range from fast-paced and violent pieces in honor of the spirit Buuzuu, or carefully choreographed performances for other spirits.
