Béla Magyari

Béla Magyari (born August 8, 1949 in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary) was Lieutenant Colonel of the Hungarian Air Force. He graduated from military pilot school "György Kilián" in 1969.
He was selected as backup for Bertalan Farkas (the first Hungarian cosmonaut who has been to space) on Soyuz 36, but he never flew.
He graduated from Budapest Technical University in 1986. He was an Aeronautical engineer and Pilot and he is now involved in space research work.
