The Azure-shouldered Tanager (Thraupis cyanoptera) is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is found in Brazil and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
