Gône, is an endearing way of calling kids in the city of Lyon and its surrounding areas. It is certainly a typical word of regional French used in Lyon. The influence of Francoprovençal is still alive in the slow and singing-tone accent of spoken French in Rhône-Alpes and Switzerland today. However, no one, even in the most remote areas of the French Alps under age 70 is able to speak it. To assume it was spoken as a language in cities such as Lyon in the 60's is just not accurate. Besides, the name 'Arpitan' is absolutely unknown out of wikipedia and doesn't reflect an established reality --Frederic bouchon 00:01, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
