Azmatgarh was originated by Azmat shah-the brother of Azam shah. Both the brothers were originally hindus(baniyas) but there forefathers were forcibly converted to accept Islam by the then mugal rulers. The lake was supposed to be declared as an official tourism spot, but no official confirmation has being done yet to that by the concerned authorities.
