Aziz Al-Azmeh

Aziz Al-Azmeh (born 24 July 1947) was born in Damascus. He received the PhD in Oriental Studies from University of Oxford. He taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the whole thematic range of Arab and Islamic historical studies, medieval and modern, at the Central European University, the American University of Beirut, Yale University, Columbia University, and the University of Exeter.
