Azio Eagles (東風老鷹隊) are a basketball team in the Super Basketball League (SBL) of Taiwan, sponsored by the Azio TV company ([1]). Before that, they were called the YMY Lions and was sponsored by the YMY company. Prior to the 2005-2006 season, they were known as the Sina Lions (新浪獅), with corporate sponsor Sina.com. The Sina Lions were one of the best teams in Taiwan, winning three championships in a row from 1996 to 1998. They then played in the Chinese Basketball Association of mainland China for the 2001–2002 and 2002–2003 seasons, playing their home games in Suzhou. At the start of their second year in the CBA, they also received corporate sponsorship from BenQ corporation and were renamed as the BenQ Sina Lions (明基新浪狮). They made the quarter-finals in their first year; however, in their second season they finished 13th out of 14 teams with a 7-19 record, and dropped out of the CBA.

The Sina Lions then moved back home to Taiwan and joined the SBL for the 2003–2004 season. In that season, they got 2nd place.

In the 2004–2005 season, the Sina Lions had an extremely disappointing season, compiling a 3-27 record in a 30-game season.

In the 2005–2006 season, the team gained a new sponsor, the YMY corporation, and changed its name. However, they remained in last place in the SBL.

In 2007, the team gained another sponsor, the Azio TV (東風衛視),and changed its name into the Azio Eagles.
