Azfar-ul-Ashfaque is an investigative journalist associated with Pakistan's largest circulated English language daily, Dawn. Earlier, he was associated with daily The News.

Born in Karachi, he started his career from a wire service, Pakistan Press International, and later joined the newspaper in 2002. He has written various investigative articles on the criminal justice system in Pakistan. Other topics include al-Qaeda, the Taliban, militant outfits in Pakistan, transport, and law enforcement agencies. Now in Dawn, he covers mostly the affairs of the City District Government Karachi.
