Azerbaijan Coast Guard refers to the Coast Guard of Azerbaijan under the command of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency.

The Azerbaijan Coast Guard was established through by joint collaboration by Azerbaijan, U.S., Kazakhstan and the Caspian Guard Initiative. [1]

[edit] Mission

The coast guard's main duties are to protect the territorial integrity of the state water borders, the public, the environment, and economic & security interests in the Caspian Sea. The Azerbaijan Coast Guard is involved in surveillance of public waters, maritime law enforcement, mariner assistance, search and rescue, and national defense.
