[edit] Introduction to Silsila Azeemia

When there was nothing there was Allah. Allah desired for His Supreme Being, His sublime Greatness and His Cherishing Lordship to be acknowledged, hence he decided to create. The plan formulated in the Mind of the Great Creator and materialised with the pronouncement of the command ‘Be’ (Kun). The entire universe and all species came into being.
Mankind’s advent to this world resulting in the occurrence of many problems. Anxiety and restlessness replaced peace due to the shattering of faith and belief in Allah. As Allah willed, a system for man's guidance was evolved. Prophets were sent one after another for this purpose. The final prophet of Allah, Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) was sent to conclude the prophethood. However, the system of man's guidance continued. Saintly scholars with the legacy of the Holy Prophet continue to guide mankind.
For man's salvation Allah selects those who strive to introduce and familiarise man with the ultimate reality. The candle of Allah's message and the torch of cognition travels from one hand to another. All spiritual persons are those hands of Allah who carry this torch. They not only enlighten themselves but spread it to others as well. One such hand of nature, an enlightened soul, a spiritual master, an inheritor of the knowledge of the Holy Prophet, the Founder Leader of Silsila-e-Azeemia is Hassan Ukhra Sayyed Muhammad Azeem Burkhiya, commonly known as Qalandar Baba Auliya (blessed be he).
Qalandar is a person who has comprehension of Allah and radiates the Elohistic Knowledge reflecting reality. He becomes a bridge and a connection between the Creator and the created beings because of the teachings of the Holy Prophet he has assimilated. He remains in touch with Allah without losing his contact with the creation. He leads a blissful life filled with the pleasure of knowing the ultimate reality. A state of ecstasy remains prevalent upon his soul. After negating all gods and himself he enjoys the pleasure of witnessing the Lord.
[edit] Birth of a New Sufi Order
As man is advancing in the field of physical sciences he is becoming more distant from religion. His belief has become weak and his faith has shattered. Peace has become something alien to him. His pursuit for peace attracted him towards the Inner aspect of his being but he was not ready to accept any unscientific means and methods in this regard.
In order to meet the demands of this time a system was needed; a system which would scientifically fulfil the spiritual needs of man in this modern era. Silsila-e-Azeemia was founded for this very purpose. Instead of employing the orthodox and traditional ways of spiritual education modern techniques have been formulated to keep pace with the modern scientific era. Due to its unorthodox approach and modern ideology this Sufi Order (Silsila) is spreading rapidly throughout the world.
The founder leader of Silsila-e-Azeemia, Qalandar Baba Auliya founded this Sufi Order after spiritually gaining its approval from the Holy Prophet Muhammad in July 1960. The name of the Sufi Order goes after the name of its founder.
Silsila-e-Azeemia encompasses both spiritual sections; Spiritual Association (salook) and Raptness (juzb). Qalandar Baba Auliya has benefited from twenty-one Sufi Orders and enjoys the very special distinction of being the Khanwada (to whom the thinking pattern of the founder leader of a Sufi Order is transferred) of eleven Sufi Orders.
Unlike a traditional orthodox style discipleship is not present in Silsila-e-Azeemia, rather they are called friends. No particular dress code or appearance is required. Only a sincere interest and devotion for spirituality is the basic criteria for association with the Silsila. Instead of austere and rigorous rituals simpler lessons and exercises have been introduced. This is based on the worshipping style and method which was exercised by the Holy Prophet in the cave of Hira for a long time. The practice of Muraqba (Meditation) helps the spiritual student to start his spiritual journey into the spiritual realm. The more one advances along the spiritual path the more one becomes enlightened. One’s conscious becomes strong enough to penetrate into the mysteries and realities.
[edit] Present
At present there are more than seventy Azeemia centres (Muraqba Halls) throughout the world providing spiritual education, healing and a host of other services to mankind.
The aim of Silsila Azeemia is to promote the teachings of the Holy Prophet so that our soul may find happiness and peace, and fulfil the purpose of our creation, which is to experience and understand the ultimate reality by gaining spiritual knowledge of the highest form.
