Ayr Central
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ayr Central is an open air shopping centre located in Ayr, Scotland on a former brown field site on Kyle Street which had previously been abandoned for fifteen years. The development cost £75 million, and was opened ahead of schedule on 13 March 2005, with the opening of the first Debenhams in Ayrshire.[1]
The shopping centre has an underground car parking facility with space for 500 cars with stairs taking you up to the main level. A large number of shops have moved into the development, some from other locations in the town center while others are completely new to the area such as Debenhams and Au Naturale. There is also a cafè with indoor and outdoor seating areas.
