Ayman was in the danger zone along with Ibrahim El Hakami from Saudi Arabia and was voted off Monday, January 30 2006. He was hesitant to remain in the show after he had learned that the Tunisian lines were busy until 11 AM on the day after he sang on the show. His parents had informed him after the concert that the lines weren't working, which made him want to drop out. Many of the former contestants were shocked to find out that Ayman had been voted off.
