Ayisi Makatiani is a Kenyan-born entrepreneur well renowned for being the cofounder of Africa Online, the largest pan-African internet service provider. He is currently (2008) the Chief Executive Office of African Management Services Company (AMSCO) a firm that helps small African firms become competitive. AMSCO is a product of International Finance Corporation (IFC) — the World Bank's private-sector arm—the UN Development Programme, and the African Development Bank. The firm is headquartered in Johannesburg where he is also based.
