Ayan Panja

Ayan Panja (b. June 1973, Essex) is a British Asian media doctor and writer.
He is the senior partner of a medical practice in Haringey, North London.
After attending school at Brighton College in Sussex he took a medical degree at the Imperial College School of Medicine, followed by training in general practice in Buckinghamshire. He lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
His particular interest is in increasing public awareness of health issues and he does this through writing, radio and television.
He has written two books, including An Essential Medical Miscellany which is a collection of facts, figures and anecdotes about medicine and has also made contributions to various publications including the British Medical Journal, the Daily Mirror, Men's Health, 'Healthy' Magazine, Metro, Scarlet and Health and Fitness Online. He is currently an expert columnist for Sweet Magazine.
Currently a presenter (Dr Ayan) on Street Doctor on BBC One, he is particularly interested in mind-body medicine and preventing illness.
Interested in all aspects of voice and elocution, and a trained singer, Panja is a keen singer and musician with strong ongoing interests in the performing and recording arts.
