[edit] Battle on Lake Peipus

Please look at Talk:Battle of the Ice, I'm suggesting a move.--Matthead 22:38, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed category deletion

You proposed to delete Category:George Watson's College alumni. The correct way to do this is documented at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion. Please could you follow those instructions, and let me know if you have any problems doing so. Thanks!--greenrd 01:20, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rostock Hauptbahnhof

Regarding your recent edit on Rostock Hauptbahnhof, I've removed the DB logo (as it is a fair use logo and should probably not be used on infoboxes) and replaced it with the S-Bahn sign again, which does not have these restrictions, as it is in the public domain. The station infoboxes for Germany are so far set up in a way that stations with S-Bahn services display the S-Bahn sign (which is available on the Commons, so no fair use issue like with the DB corporate logo), and stations without S-Bahn services are left blank. doco () 13:36, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, the image makes it seem like it is only an S-Bahn station, but is is a station for DB, RSAG-Straßenbahn (tram) AND the (DB) S-Bahn. It only show one aspect of the station, and I would prefer not to use a symbol at all or the DB logo, which at least covers trains and S-Bahn. Likedeeler 13:45, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vorpommern

Could we have a discussion about the Hither Pomerania article? I don't think it will serve harmony with other Wikipedians to just change the headword. In any case, it would be better to clean up the article first: its English is very dodgy and its information content not good. I'll see if I have time to do a rewrite. Tacitus 20:12, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox German Location

Thanks for you work on adding Infobox German Location to various articles. There is one change to the template that you may not be aware of. The field "pop_source" is now disabled and replaced with "pop_ref". The difference is that you now need to add the source as a proper citation (with <ref> tags and the creation of a reference list, if one does not already exist). This has been done to keep in line with standards regarding the removal external links within the article. Please see Template:Infobox German Location/Instructions for more information. - 52 Pickup 09:40, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania navigational templates

Please do not remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to Category:Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania navigational templates. It is considered vandalism. If you think an article should be deleted, please use deletion process, in stead of blanking the page. Od Mishehu 08:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but that is no vandalism at all, because it had been agreed upon to change the name of the article as well as all categories from "Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania" to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Hence my work was keeping wikipedia up to date and nothing like vandalism.
The content was not "removed from Wikipedia" but rather moved to Category:Mecklenburg-Vorpommern navigational templates. Likedeeler 09:20, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
In this case, the proper procedure is at WP:CFD. Od Mishehu 11:37, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:GWC logo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:GWC logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:14, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Empor Rostock.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Empor Rostock.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:38, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summaries

Thanks for all the good work on Swedish university related articles! I'd like to encourage you to make it a habit to write edit summaries, it makes it much easier for other people to look at the history of an article and see what has been going on. Even if the summaries are very short they are still very useful. Best wishes/ Pax:Vobiscum (talk) 20:20, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Germany Invitation

Hello, Axt! I'd like to call your attention to the WikiProject Germany and the German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. I hope their links, sub-projects and discussions are interesting and even helpful to you. If not, I hope that new ones will be.

--Zeitgespenst (talk) 05:18, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the invitation, it is much appreciated. I will stop by and have a look every now and then. Axt (talk) 20:08, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Request to move article German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina incomplete

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 00:12, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
