From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi Axe-Lander, and welcome to Wikipedia.

Thankyou for finding the time to sign up and contribute to our little project. If you're in doubt about anything, you might want to check out some of these pages:

It's also a good idea to sign the new user log and add a little about yourself.

When contributing to a talk page, you can sign your name by typing four tildes after your comments, like this: ~~~~. (Just so you know, some people won't pay attention to unsigned comments).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me at my talk page, or at the Help desk or Village Pump.

Above all, make sure you be bold when contributing, and have fun!

[edit] Olympics medal count articles

Hi Axe-Lander, why did you move all the summer olympics medal count articles (ie. 1896 Summer Olympics medal count) into Category:Summer Olympic Games rather than the more specific categories for each event? -- Chuq 11:40, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Old_Glory.png listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Old_Glory.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. —MetsBot 18:54, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Us flag 1896.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Us flag 1896.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:52, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
