Axel Hervelle (Born May 12, 1983 in Liège, Belgium) is a Belgian professional basketball player. He is a 6 ft 9 in (2.05 m) and 240 lb (109 kg) power forward.
He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the second round (52nd pick) of the 2005 NBA Draft, becoming the first Belgian player to be drafted.
He has spent the early part of his career in Europe. He first played with RBC Verviers-Pepinster (Belgium) for four years, averaging 11.4 points and 10.6 rebounds in 16 games during 2003-2004 season and becoming team captain at only 20 years old. Then he signed with Real Madrid where he has played from 2004-2005 through 2006-2007. In 2005-2006, he averaged 24 minutes, 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over 32 games.
Hervelle is member of the Belgium national basketball team.
