Axel Hay is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, portrayed by actor Trent Dalzell since early 2008.

Axel was introduced as a guest character and is a student who attends Summer Bay High School and is in Year 12. Axel is good friends with Aden Jefferies. Unlike Aden he seems to be open to getting along with his fellow Summer Bay High students and helped to organise Sally's farwell.
He has a younger sister named Danielle.
On the 27th May, Axel was at Nicole's party and after coming on to Belle, he goes into a bedroom, in which he finds Melody crying and the next thing you see is Melody running downstairs crying even more and Axel comes downstairs looking for Her.
On the 28th, Axel asked Aden how Melody was, looking as if he was hiding something. Later he snuck into Melody's room, Where he tried to make sure that she didn't remember anything from the night before.
On June 5, Geoff Campbell threatened Axel after he found out what happened between Axel and Melody at the party. Later that day after Belle an Aden found out what happened, Axel was found beaten and unconcious on the beach by Belle. It's believed that he was bashed up by either Aden or Geoff
On June 6, Belle took Axel to hospital, the police came but Axel kept saying he couldn't remember anything and wouldn't talk to them. Belle then went and told Annie and Geoff, Geoff ran off and Belle went and confronted Aden about Axel's attack. Which after Belle realised that Aden did it. He said "He Deserved what he got". Geoff went to talk to Tony and told him he stood there and watched as Aden layed into him.
