Awl Point

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Awl Point (63°51′S, 60°38′W) is a point 4 miles (6 km) northeast of Borge Point on the east side of Trinity Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. Shown on an Argentine government chart of 1952. So named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1960 because the point is low in elevation but very sharply pointed in plan.
