[edit] Football

[1]

[2]

As a coach and an ex football player I feel that football is a very complex sport. You can acquire all the information on how to play the sport by looking at a simple rule book. I have attached a rule book that the NCAA uses that has all of the guide lines and all of the information that one would need if they wished to player or coach football. On Wikipedia I have the knowledge to post information about what a first down is and how to gain one. My information is backed up by the NCAA rule book. I did not post this information but I have the knowledge to post information about equipment and other general rules when playing football.

[edit] Lifting weights

[3]

I have had the privilege to work out with many different strength coaches and to also train athletes. I have also taken human physiology and learned how muscles work and how to properly build them. I have added information on the weight lifting page about over lifting and how to prevent over working your muscles. I talk about what happens if you over work your muscles and I explain how a muscle breaks down and rebuilds its self up and that is how muscles become bigger. I also have the knowledge from taking human physiology to talk about the importance of having a healthy diet when lifting weights. I would add information about proteins and how they are the building blocks for muscles and with out the proper amount your muscles will not grow to their full potential. I would also mention that to much protein starts to become wasteful and your body will only use a certain amount and any extra will be discarded by your urinary track.

[edit] Track relays

[4]

On the Wikipedia website there is information that talks about relays but the information about how to get disqualified is not mentioned. This is a very important aspect of running a relay and so I could add it to the track web page. I have ran track and I have also coach it so I have a very strong back ground knowledge about the rules of track. I have also attached a website to a track rule book. The information that I would add to the web page would be that there are marks on the track that indicate a zone that the baton has to be passed in. If the baton is not passed in the designated zone than the team will be disqualified. I would also talk about if the baton is dropped then the team will also be disqualified.

[edit] North Eugene

[6]

As a student at North Eugene High school and I football player I have prior knowledge about the football program. On the North Eugene High school webpage there was an error about the football program that talked about dates. The error was talking about how many years it has been since the football program has had a winning season and if I could make that correction because I coach football at North and I played football there. I was coached by someone who has been coaching football at North for over 30 years and he was the head coach there for over 20 years. If I was to make a correction on the North Eugene website my reference would be Mike Jodoin.

[edit] Eugene, OR.

[7]

Eugene Oregon has been known as track town USA and so bringing a marothon to the city was a very big event. Eugene has gone without a Marathon for many years even though the Olympic trials have been held at Hayward Field. If I was to make a correction on the Eugene web page I would explain the imprortance of the Eugene Marathone. I would talk about how it has been a very long time since Eugene has had a marathon and how hosting a marathon brings running back to eugene.

My resources for this posting would be flyers at the Eugene Running store.
