"Awful, Beautiful Life" is a song by country music singer-songwriter Darryl Worley. It was the first single from his self-titled CD, Darryl Worley. It was his third number-one hit single. It spent two consecutive weeks at #1 in January 2005. The song mentions a cousin Michael in Iraq and in the video the soldier Darryl picks up at the bus station is the real cousin Michael mentioned in the song
