Daily Jolt, anyone?

I thought it would amuse you to know that I was browsing Wikipedia, came across your name, and felt roughly the same thing I'd feel if I saw a random guy I knew at Brown cross the street when I was on vacation in some random place I don't live. Zakolantern 23:17, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Typo redirect Lso Angeles County Chief Executive Office

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Lso Angeles County Chief Executive Office, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Lso Angeles County Chief Executive Office is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Lso Angeles County Chief Executive Office, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. NotJustBrowsing

I think the system is confused with the name of the author of NotJustBrowsing i.e., Abdul Karim.
Abdul Karim is famous due to his created web browser NotJustBrowsing. reason of fame

Advice me if an autobiography is needed for Abdul Karim in Wikipedia Or advice me to overcome the problem. -- Ebbee 21:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

The problem is in the fact that you have not asserted notability per WP:NN and WP:ORG. The mere fact that a web browser was created does not make it notable (for example, university students across the world make web browsers for projects, but they do not meet wikipedia guidelines for having their own article). I would advise you to think about why this particular web browser is noteworthy. Are there any statistics that prove it is used by many people, for example? You should be looking for references to cite that support a notability claim. - AWeenieMan (talk) 21:13, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
What about this myopera? It is in Russian but so what, they have had NotJustBrowsing in english and they put effort into using and reviewing it for Russian audience. A good indication of fall of english speaking nations though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ebbee (talkcontribs) 00:25, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, I would certainly not discredit it because it is in Russian, though to be honest, I don't speak a word of Russian, so I had a really tough time following it (through a Google translation). One problem I foresee is that the editorial is unsigned, and it also only mentions NotJustBrowsing briefly (from what I can tell). Just some things to keep in mind as you move forward. - AWeenieMan (talk) 02:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
First of all, I am not interested in having this article be placed in Wikipedia at all. Only for you to know that among other things you can bookmark entire Wikipedia using this not so noteworthy. But why would you want to do this? is an intelligent question. Don't ask me.
If all the editors of Wikipedia start using this browser, it will still not be noteworthy, so they should not use it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ebbee (talkcontribs) 16:59, 8 December 2007

Brown University

Hi AWeenieMan,
Would you like me to delete this section in Brown University that is clearly marked for deletion since November 2006?

This section does not cite any references or sources. Unverifiable material may be challenged and removed. (November 2006)

--Ebbee (talk) 00:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Ebbee, you're proposing vandalism simply in retaliation for your article being deleted. If you're here to work on the encyclopedia, you could start by actually improving that section within Brown University. There are most likely sources out there for that section of the Brown University article; they just haven't been entered yet. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 01:06, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Ebbee, please note that an {{unreferencedsection}} tag is not a proposal for deletion (especially not for an entire section). If you are taking an interest in citations, read up on WP:CITE and take a look at the {{fact}} template, where you can challenge specific, unreferenced facts. This gives people an opportunity to find sources for them.
Also, I took a look at the section you were proposing to delete. In reality, that tag was not meant for any neighboring section, but the section on the New Curriculum (there was some rearranging of sections a while back and it got disassociated with its rightful section). Anyhow, I'm just giving this as a reason that you should always double check things before deleting. This might also explain why on a heavily edited article, this tag has remained around for so long (i.e. no one knew exactly why). Just some food for thought. - AWeenieMan (talk) 02:29, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

List of Brown University Buildings

Not now, but maybe over the break we should divide up the buildings list and fill in the rest of the information? I don't live in the dorms so I am hesitant to walk around and take pictures. I really appreciate what you have done with the page so far. It looks great. Apavlo (talk) 15:08, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. In the meantime I will be chipping away at the descriptions as I have time. I actually have pictures of most of the residence halls. I started uploading the missing ones today. - AWeenieMan (talk) 00:56, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Looks like you've been busy. Now that classes are over, I spent most of tonight working on other pages (main page, Van Wickle Gates, University Hall, and Alma Mater). Do you want help with the list of buildings or should I just work on these other areas? I agree with you that the Dartmouth pages are much nicer than ours. Apavlo (talk) 06:11, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
I certainly wouldn't turn down the help on the buildings page, because at this rate it will take me some time before it's complete. However, I think the main article is probably the most important and University Hall really needs to be expanded. So, I would say go ahead and work on the other pages, because it would be really nice to get everything up to maybe start class level. But if you feel like writing any 3-4 sentence descriptions (or have any more photos, as there are plenty missing), feel free to contribute to the buildings list. - AWeenieMan (talk) 18:06, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

vandalism to Atlantic Coast Conference page by 75.89.14.193

your change of the acc logo to a png format was immediately preceded by an multiple edit vandalism which C.Fred and I each reverted pieces of. Your edit ended up being a casualty of that, but I tried to put it back the way that you had it. Please take a look and make sure I got it right. -Gwguffey (talk) 05:59, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Looks perfect. I had just changed the logo to the png version. Thanks for the note. - AWeenieMan (talk) 17:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I think [1] isnt supposed to happen. Did the tool break? I'm using the last good history version right now, but if your not going to be updating it anymore, could I get a copy of the script you use to work on my own userspace? MBisanz talk 17:08, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

RfA/RfR

So I notice you've been around here awhile. And you seem to know what your doing. Have you ever thought of applying to be an administrator? I'm not certain how much anti-vandalism or WP:XFD work you do, but if you'd like to get more into that for an RFA, there is the WP:rollback tool which is a faster version of (undo) for vandalism. MBisanz talk 07:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for thinking of me. I have been around for a bit and like to dabble in various wikipedia aspects (although, I got focused recently on the non-free image repair campaign). I have been thinking about requesting rollback as I do find myself reverting vandals and every little convenience in that battle helps. I still think I might be a little ways off before going for an RFA (not sure when I will be ready for that humbling experience). Thanks for your thoughts. - AWeenieMan (talk) 05:43, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

categories query

Thanks for running this (I did not realize how many there would be) - question: How hard would it be to add any or all the following pieces of information:

  • Most recent deletion reason, deleting admin, and timestamp, from deletion log, if any.
  • Name of page that is in the category, when there is only one.
  • Name of any category whose page does exist and is a case-insensitive match for the category.

Again, thanks! —Random832 18:50, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

All sounds doable (although I am not sure how long it will take to run, especially with the case insensitive matching). However, the toolserver database crashed this afternoon, so there is no ETA on when I can run this. - AWeenieMan (talk) 20:29, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
You can run them separately, if it'll help - there's no need for the lists to be synchronized; I can combine them. It's for a working list, not a snapshot. The deletion log one will probably be the most useful (and the one that will take the most time to massage into something that can be worked from efficiently). —Random832 01:15, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, I will see what happens when the toolserver comes back online. Also, I noticed your nice list of wanted categories. I don't think it would be too hard to write a bot that outputs such lists periodically, we would just need to work out what format would be best. Also I am wondering about automating edits for categories that just have capitalization errors (i.e. human review of the list and a bot just processes it). Of course that depends on how many I can uncover. Just something I've been thinking about and wondered what your opinion would be. - AWeenieMan (talk) 01:27, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, ideally, this one-time task will shrink the set of wanted categories down far enough to make the special page itself a useful tool (even if we can get it down to 5000 or so, it might be reasonable to then ask the developers to push the limit up a bit) —Random832 18:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, though it might be considered a one time task, I have a feeling that the task is going to drag out for a while (after all, we are talking 25,000 cats to review), and I thought periodic updates to the list might give people a better idea of the progress (also, considering new cats will be created and others emptied entirely outside of the effort, it would be nice to roll in updates). Just my thinking. - AWeenieMan (talk) 05:27, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

I reran the query to pull some of the added information you requested. The results are found here.

A few comments:

  • Because of the way I ran the query, it is not guaranteed that I gave you the most recent deletion log entry, just a deletion log entry. This is because I was just running a query. If it matters to you, I could do this in PHP so I can process multiple results for each category, but I figure it's not that big a deal.
  • I gave you the name of an article in every category (well, almost every). Again, it's just simpler to query that way.

And then there is the case insensitive search. 5 hours later, that query is still running. Basically, the database schema is made to deliberately make things case sensitive, so overcoming that is slow (to say the least). I will let you know if the results ever come through. - AWeenieMan (talk) 02:25, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

For the deletion log - as long as it's a deletion rather than a restoration, it should still be useful (what we're trying to do is separate the ones that have been deleted due to CFDs from the ones that were simply deleted as empty from the ones that have never existed). —Random832 18:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
For case-insensitive - it's not fully case-insensitive, but what's used for title matches from the "Go" button? Just trying a set of permutations? Is there an index for that? That'd probably nail most of the most likely case errors (one word has the first letter capitalized or not when it should be the other way) right there. —Random832 18:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Your column for a page name in the category leaves off the namespace prefix. —Random832 18:41, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

The existing query only pulled deletions from the deletion log, so that's fine. I am rerunning the query to grab the namespace for the page name. - AWeenieMan (talk) 20:05, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Results can be found here. Still working on the case insensitivity issue. 20:58, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Also, to answer your question about how the search on wikipedia does it, there is a separate table called searchindex that has fulltext indexes on page names and on (a stripped down version) of page text. That is how they can do efficient searching. Unfortunately, such data is not replicated to the toolserver (probably because they don't mirror page text, it would be too much). - AWeenieMan (talk) 22:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

The long awaited case insensitive matching is in. Here are the results. The only reported results are exact case insensitive matches, no fuzzy matches.

Also, there are some limitations to how I made this list. First off, I never did get a straight query to do this for me, but I did write a script that runs several queries and compares results. It seems to work pretty well (and pretty quickly), but it leaves me with some issues to work out. For the time being, any category with a non aphanumeric character is ignored. I am working on including those, but no guarantees. - AWeenieMan (talk) 04:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, I was actually asking how "Go" works, not search. But this should be useful, I've left a note on Betacommand's talk page. —Random832 18:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

The best I can tell, the go query does the following:
  • Exact match
  • All lower case (i.e. first letter capitalized)
  • Capitalized string
  • All upper case
  • Word-Caps-Breaking-At-Word-Breaks, for hyphenated names etc
  • Some special handling for user/image/mediawiki namespaces
  • Remove quotes from quoted term
I believe my method would have caught all of these anyway, because what I did was completely case insensitive. - AWeenieMan (talk) 18:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Nickelodeon Australia logo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Nickelodeon Australia logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:36, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Image:Ana tell me something.JPG

You recently removed Image:Ana tell me something.JPG from the article Ana Rodríguez, (and tagged the image as orphaned,), with an edit summary claiming that it failed WP:NFCC#2. I don't see that an image of a CD cover in a section talking about said CD would be considered as "a manner that is likely to replace the original market role of the original copyrighted media." If my understanding is faulty, I'll cheerfully accept correction, but I just don't see it. -- RoninBK T C 14:01, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry if the edit summary was misleading. It was not NFCC#2 I was referring to, but the second section section entitled "Images" (WP:NFC#Images_2); click the link and it will bring you to the Unacceptable Use section. Per #1 in that section, "An album cover as part of a discography, as per the above." It says that this fails NFCC#8, "Significance. Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." Basically, it was removed because it was part of a discography and has no critical commentary (NFC also says "Cover art: Cover art from various items, for identification only in the context of critical commentary of that item (not for identification without critical commentary)." Does that make sense? (Cross posted to article talk page) - AWeenieMan (talk) 15:05, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Translation/Gigliola Cinquetti

Hello AWeenieMan:

I noticed your edit to

Wikipedia:Translation/Gigliola Cinquetti

and I see from your contribution list that you have made similar edits to other items.

As part of my education, and for future reference, please tell me if there is a software/template glitch, or did I goof when requesting the translation??

Thank you, Wanderer57 (talk) 00:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I was just clearing out some of the red linked categories that were just capitalization mistakes. Unfortunately, the templates used on those pages are case sensitive. You put in "It" as the language code, which is interpreted differently than "it" (which is what it wanted). So, your page ended up being sent to a red category. So, I did go through and fix all the pages, but realized the smarter solution to this problem is to fix the templates. I made a few changes to the relevant templates so that they force that parameter to be lowercase (so, it will interpret "It," "IT," and "it" the same way). So, this problem should be fixed going forward. - AWeenieMan (talk) 02:01, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Help with WP:FURME

I tried to use this recently but the options box took up the whole screen in the vertical direction, and I couldn't find the "submit" button so I could not execute. Any help? Cirt (talk) 09:58, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

What is the resolution of your monitor? - AWeenieMan (talk) 14:04, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
1024x768 - does that help? Cirt (talk) 19:28, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes. The FurMe popup is ~650px tall, so that is probably just a little too big for you at that resolution. As long as nothing looks distorted (just too big), the simplest fix will be for me to add in an option to specify the height of the box. Keep in mind, anything smaller than ~650px will result in a scrollbar on the right (depending upon which screen you are on). It's a fairly simple fix; I will let you know when it is in place. - AWeenieMan (talk) 19:45, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Okay, thank you so much, that would be a big help. By the way, thanks for making this great tool! Cirt (talk) 19:51, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Y Done The latest update implements this change. See the configuration section for details. And you are very welcome. - AWeenieMan (talk) 01:42, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, it works great now for infobox book images, but is not working so well for other types of images, same problem with not being able to get at the whole box. Cirt (talk) 14:18, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Cirt, please try adding the following to your monobook.js file.
FurMeConfig = {
        windowHeight : 560
};
Let me know if that makes any difference. - AWeenieMan (talk) 18:50, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

FURME error

I just switched to a different computer and FURME doesn't work on it anymore. It has the latest firefox and I purged the cache. Any ideas? it gets to the Edit page, but doesn't work through the full script. MBisanz talk 03:36, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Are you getting any errors in the javascript error console? Also, is this Firefox 3b4? Or the latest 2.0 version? - AWeenieMan (talk) 03:39, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Version info Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12. I'm seeing a lot of warnings and a couple errors in the console. How would I go about purging/fixing javascript? MBisanz talk 03:45, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Interesting. Normally hitting ctrl+shift+r will redownload the javascript. I might be able to pinpoint the issue if you can tell me the errors and warnings (problem with javascript in firefox is that an error in any script can keep other scripts from working). - AWeenieMan (talk) 03:51, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Right now I'm updating all my firefox plugins and will clear the console, reboot, and re-attempt. I should be back in a half hour if there is still a problem. MBisanz talk 03:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I updated all plugins, updated firefox, updated windows. Cleared cache, rebooted, re-cleared cache. Attempted to FUR an image. Threw these 2 errors to the console

Error: obj has no properties Source File: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3ASteel359%2F%5Edemon.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript Line: 164

Error: obj has no properties Source File: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3ASteel359%2F%5Edemon.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript Line: 76

as well as 5 warnings. MBisanz talk 04:41, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Both of the errors you gave are a result of the User:Steel359/protection.js (actually, that script includes the script that is erroring, User:Steel359/^demon.js). And the script throwing the error was actually edited yesterday, so that could be the issue.
Unfortunately, once an error is thrown, firefox stops running the javascript. Try removing the Steel359 script and see if the errors go away. - AWeenieMan (talk) 04:51, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
We're back in business! Thanks for troubleshooting something that wasn't even your problem. MBisanz talk 05:01, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Anytime. Have a good evening. - AWeenieMan (talk) 05:03, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

DOI bot comments

Thanks for your comments on DOI bot - I thought I'd fixed the full stops, and the url -> doi conversion is a good idea. Do let me know if you see any more problems! Thanks a lot. Verisimilus T 22:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Free license

I just discovered this free license {{PD-textlogo}}. Would there be anyway to add this to FURME to replace the current {{Non-free logo}} and an existing FUR with this tag? Or could I have script that just lets me do this? MBisanz talk 03:14, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I can make you a script that will do that. It will probably be separate from FurMe though. - AWeenieMan (talk) 14:20, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
That would be great. No hurry on this one since I've fixed the DFUI backlog. More of a maintainence thing. MBisanz talk 18:13, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
I actually decided to add it to FurMe, as it might as well do the minor cleanup things that FurMe does. It will be another tab/link/etc (no window will pop up when it is clicked, however). This is done in my development version, I am just testing to make sure I didn't break anything else when implementing it. Also, if there are any licenses in specific you want removed, let me know. It will get rid off all of the type {{non-free whatever}} and specifically {{Commercial logo}} (why is this not named like the other non-free licenses? I guess machine readable doesn't mean easily read.)
Also, there appears to be some poor coding on some of the fur templates (more specifically some variations of {{Non-free image data}}) which leaves embedded templates and if statements in the image description. I might not be able to get those to be removed completely. I will play around, but some people much smarter than me have told me it would be pretty bad (if possible) to do.
I will post back when it goes live, but that might not be for a day or so, as I like to do some testing first. - AWeenieMan (talk) 20:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I just made the changes live. By default, the new tab is hidden (so as to not force it on people who may already have too many tabs as it is). See the config option for how to enable it. Let me know if it doesn't work as expected. - AWeenieMan (talk) 21:59, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Userboxes

Thank you for showing me how to fix the userbox problem! I never noticed what the problem was.--Getoar (talk) 02:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

You are very welcome. And thank you for making the change. - AWeenieMan (talk) 22:01, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

wanted categories

I let this sit for a while due to having other stuff to do and I was wondering if I could get a fresh copy of the data to start again (a fresh copy would be useful so as to take out all the ones that have already been dealt with). All the stuff from the last query - including namespaces on the included-page column (can't remember if you got that or not). —Random832 (contribs) 14:12, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Here are the results. I am not sure if the namespaces were included on the last one you used or not, but they should be there now. I also took the liberty of adding colons to category links in the deletion log entry I generate, as that seemed to be a problem before. Let me know if there are any problems. - AWeenieMan (talk) 23:10, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

photo arer used with permission of label

album cover of discography used with permission on the record label -March 26 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lockness (talkcontribs) 00:02, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello. If the record label wishes to release the album cover under a free license, they may do so (m:OTRS handles such things). Unfortunately, policy prohibits the use of copyrighted images unless they add significantly to the article. Please see WP:NFCC for the rules that govern non-free image usage here. Until such time that the record label confirms that they are the owner of the copyright on the images and releases them under a free license permitting reuse by anyone for anything, including commercial reuse and derivative works (Wikipedia does not accept permission for use only on Wikipedia), it will not be possible to use those images without complying with WP:NFCC (which a standard discography does not). - AWeenieMan (talk) 00:19, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

wantedcats data

Can I get an updated query? --Random832 (contribs) 00:49, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Here is the updated list of all wanted categories. Here are the likely capitalization mistakes. - AWeenieMan (talk) 22:42, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Tag conflict

So, the great cross-tabbing is done and there is a list of 700 images at User:Betacommand/Sandbox 3 that show images classed as both free AND non-free. Obviously, an image can only be one of the two, so if editors could go through and correct the images, striking them out on the master list it would be great. Thanks. Orphaned non-free media (Image:QVC logo.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:QVC logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 14:02, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Image renaming

Please see [2] as your approval to tag for renaming. MBisanz talk 21:04, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Could you modify your bot to drop anything in either Category:Images with trademarks/Category:Public domain images ineligible for copyright and Category:All images on Wikimedia Commons into a list for me say once ever 3 days? MBisanz talk 01:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Sounds easy enough. I will try to put it together this weekend. Thanks for the approval by the way. - AWeenieMan (talk) 03:41, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Are you anticipating many images to fall into this intersection? Here is where the results will be put. - AWeenieMan (talk) 21:43, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
It should, Betacommand is gonna begin tagging 18,000 images to that Cat that are free and on both commons and en-wiki. MBisanz talk 02:06, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, right now there are only about 1500 images in Category:Public domain images ineligible for copyright and only 300 in Category:Images with trademarks. I am not getting any images in either of those and in Category:All images on Wikimedia Commons, but we will see what happens once Beta starts his run. The list should update once a day (the query runs quickly and it is easier to schedule things daily than once every three days). - AWeenieMan (talk) 03:59, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Any reason the bot's not picking up images like Image:American_Atheists_logo.svg on the DFUI/logo intersection? MBisanz talk 06:05, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

It would seem that Category:All non-free Logos was renamed to Category:All non-free logos a little over a week ago. I will fix that and re-run the lists. - AWeenieMan (talk) 17:15, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
All better now. Sorry about that. - AWeenieMan (talk) 17:32, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU

Hello again. The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. I attempted to translate the data from the old version to the new, but with the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 04:11, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Bloomberg Television logo.svg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bloomberg Television logo.svg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --20:21, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
