[edit] Avyear and Manual of Style
Note that the use of this template in full dates, e.g. [[February 2]] {{avyear|1974}} (end result: February 2 1974) directly contravenes the Manual of Style, without - in my opinion - improving the article in any meaningful way. The WikiProject Aviation style guide should not go against WP:MOS without a good reason. GregorB (talk) 12:48, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
