[edit] Wikimedia Canada
Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 17:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Niagara article notability
Hey there,
could you take a quick look at Niagara Hostel? It seems a bit like a marginally-notable business advertisement. Does the building have any interesting history or anything else that would make it encyclopedia-worthy?
The author's only edits are creating that article and linking it up in a couple of other Niagara articles. I'm pondering listing this on Articles for Deletion but would like a local's opinion first. --Qviri (talk) 05:32, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- He added it to an unnecessary section in the Niagara Falls article as well, so it's pretty clear he's advertising. I say we step in an try and clean up the hostel article to make it a bit more NPOV / brochure-styled. If the author starts trying to revert the changes than it will be pretty clear that this is just advertising and a good article for deletion. For what it's worth, I've never even heard of this building before. I knew the Falls had a hostel though, so it may be worth keeping in some form. Avwhite 13:16, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
