[edit] Welcome
Hello, Avron, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page

- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hey, I just thought I'd drop by and say hi since you're using one of my templates. I reorganised (well, I'm reorganising) my user subspace and I noticed that you were using one of them. Anyways, welcome to Wikipedia! BigNate37T·C 23:09, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image
You cannot get an image to show in Wikipedia, without uploading a copy to Wikipedia (the software ignores the img tag). I am not sure if user images are allowed if they serve no other purpose. —MJBurrage • TALK • 09:38, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. I came here from Memory Alpha where I did manage to add that photo and hadn't thought about it not being possible as the reason I couldn't do it. -- Avron 09:45, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
