[edit] Is this real?

I don't, but for some reason this seems like vandalism..maybe it's the fact that Avril Lavigne having a Manga comic book seems very unlikely, or maybe her record label really just phoned it home on merchandising. Is this real? It seems more like a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JayAlto (talkcontribs) 06:47, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

I have a copy of the book in hand, and every instance of the title takes pains to say "Avril Lavigne's Make 5 Wishes". As self-indulgent as the tag (and lavigne's involvement in the plot) may seem, it appears that this is the correct title. Should the article be moved to reflect the book title? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.52.69.217 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Make 5 Wishes.jpg

Image:Make 5 Wishes.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:46, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demon

The demon has a name, you know. Romeo. It's mentioned in the back of the book. 67.176.247.138 —Preceding comment was added at 23:07, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Actually, he says he has many names, or more nicknames, each given to him by the person to whom he was granting wishes. Romeo is the nickname Hana gives him. Think outside the box 11:19, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Manga?

Several IPs have been editing this article to say that it is not manga [1] [2]. [3] [4] I'd just like to assure and confirm that this is manga, or at least manga style. These sources specifically state that the comic is manga [5] [6] [7] Think outside the box 10:54, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Here are some more sources stating that the comic is manga: [8] [9]. I've added some of these to the article as citations. Think outside the box 17:01, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

THIS IS A COMIC, NOT MANGA.  !!!!!!! i say that because i am a mangaka (in other words manga artist) and i can to say that. This comic is a faillure, an ugly copy of the TRUE manga style. Please stop to say that this junk is a "manga style comic book" because that is only a joke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.221.207.55 (talk) 21:04, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, unless you can provide a reputable source stating that this is not manga, your opinion that its "a faillure" is just that; an opinion. Wikipedia strives to present information from a neutral point of view, and as such relies of citations to backup its statements. As yet, the only sources in this article fully support the assertion that this comic is manga. Think outside the box 11:36, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Maybe i was too hard to exprime that i said recently, but if you look a manga and this comic the differences become evidents.Forgive my bad english, but i must to say that just the author, the "artist" (camilla, change job, please) and the publisher had say that this comic is a "manga". i guess that's just a kind of marketing, and anithink else.

sorry if i did't be neutral and thank you to heard me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.10.8.87 (talk) 13:30, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Thats quite alright. I do agree with you that this is not "true" manga, in the sense that it is not a Japanese publication, but the comic is closer to manga that anything else. The article is worded to say that the comic is in the "style" of manga - which means it is similar to manga but is not actually manga. I believe this is satisfactory for the time being, although if you have any further suggestions as to how we could clarify the situation, please do post them. By the way, your English is very good! [edit] plot summary question

What does "serving the explosion" mean? Ahkond (talk) 05:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

I believe it is a spelling error for "surviving the explosion". I've corrected this in the article. Think outside the box 15:33, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
